I just wanted to say congratulations on the bike! Bike riding has been my favorite form of exercise since my surgery. Have fun! -Jessica

Jessica.. There is just something great about the wind blowing against your skin...I love it.  I did spinning classes when I belonged to the gym, but this is so much better.  I plan to implement biking instead of using my car to save on fuel costs.  Every little bit at this point helps a lot.  What kind of bike do you ride? Jenn- I have a Trek bike. I am hopping to get brave enough to use it for my commute. I hear you on the gas prices. It took me a little while last summer to get used to riding again. I mostly stick to trails and I am a little nervous about riding in traffic. I also use a trailer for my 3 year old son and niece they just love it! -Jessica

Jessica...that would be great for the commute.  We had a whole week here where people were encouraged to ditch their cars and ride a bike, bus or even carpool to work.  It does take more time and effort but it is so worth it to me.  The trailer would be fun, although I have no kiddos to haul around.  I bet that is a real workout!!  Jenn

I bought a new bike a few weeks back too. I rode it a couple times before my lap RNY on may 6th. My question is do I have to wait a certain time frame before I ride it again? I have not rode since my surgery. My dr. never said anything & I never remembered to ask, now I remembered    lol

Hi Lisa.. I would ask your surgeons office how long you should wait to ride your bike.  I only walked in the beginning so I am not sure. Jenn
