OT~So Angry/Upset with my son

Boy am I ever loving this conversation.  And thank you for bringing it up.   I'm in the similiar situation however My gr-son who lives with me since age 2 1/2 yrs is 15 1/2 and I am going thru the same thing.  However my lazy spoiled rotten gr-son has decided he wants to move out and live off student welfare.  he won't even go and look for a part time job.  However here's the catch.   We have to kick him out in order for him to receive student welfare..  He's abusing drugs and alcohol, and I hate to say it, females.  They throw themselves at him.  I've caught them.  He's been hanging around with the wrong crowd.  Only goes to school in the morning and skips the rest.  He doesn't come home till 10.  And if he does, he's stoned.  We've taken his mp3 player away, computer priviledges, cellphone, and allowing his friends over. he to is misplacing things, cellphone, mp3 player.  The clothes I've boughten him (and if you know the kids now adays, they don't like cheap clothes). My hubby and I are ready to boot him out.  This wweekend was so bad, I am ready to call the Children Services and ask them to come get him or put him in a student shelter for runaway kids. Course we think he's so street wise, that he'd probably survivie, and who knows if and when he decides he want to comes back, what kind of condidtion he'll come back in. I like that saying, Let him fly with broken wings.  I am hoping he makes it to the end of the school year in June.  We are then going to allow him to move out. Our sanity is at stake.  The way it is now, neither one of us, can leave him alone in the house, for fear of him stealing things from us.  He's stolen money, my medication, and who knows what else.
