DS math
Hey y'all ....
The issue about drug-resistant strains of bacteria is not actually all about YOU!
Imagine that, something not about YOU! Wow!
Drug-resistant bacteria that enter the environment STAY in the environment at large and affect ALL OF US! They do not just go away because you flush them away (or think you do).
Some stay on your hands. Some stay on the potty. Some stay on the wall. Some get picked up by other people.
Some enter other peoples' bodies and infect them and colonize.
The bacteria make them sick, or do not make them sick ... but no one knows for sure.
And guess how all of that drug resistant bacteria is generated?
By people who decide that it's better to have stinky-gas surgery and do wtihout the stinky gas for a while by taking low-doses of online-purchased veterinary-grade antibiotics for however long.
Thanks for your consideration of other people!
Yours truly,

you failed to read that many docs HAVE NO PROBLEM prescribing maintenance doses for people who have problems with intestinal overgrowth.... but SOME docs DO have a problem with it, so some people choose to take it on themselves to effectively treat their issue.
Intestinal bacterial overgrowth is possible as well with RNYers (whether they be proximal, medial or distal) because there is at least SOME bypassed intestine. Granted, it is more prevalent in DS and distal RNY.
regarding this comment:

Thanks for your consideration of other people! as you can see above (as well as many other posts I've seen on the main and RNY boards), RNYers get stinky-gas too. Regarding the consideration of other people.... the chance of passing on a resistant bacteria is, for the most part, much less than the chance of offending someone in a meeting with a stink-bomb fart, regardless of WHAT procedure you have.... that IS consideration of other people.

nope... though you're closer than you think.
I never went back for my thesis work. At this point, enough time has passed and my life has changed that it's not worth the bother to go back.
though psychology wasn't my major (it was my minor), I did have you fairly well diagnosed schizophrenic, bipolar, possible MPD.
