DS math
Oh I see what you are saying -- it is a bit confusing, because DSers usually discuss the details of our surgical measurements in terms of the length of our common channel, but he was discussing the length of the bypassed intestine the way that RNYers do: "RNY or DS Bypass Channel Length (this is the length of the bypassed limb NOT the common channel length)".
Nope, his numbers are correct. They refer to the *amount of intestine bypassed,* which is the opposite of how we usually talk about our guts. The more intestine bypassed, the higher the malabsorption potential. We're just accustomed to talking about our common channel length, which is what's left over/where food can still be absorbed. See what I mean?
Yeh, but I figured he must be right (he's NOT a JADE afterall), then I realized he's talking about the BYPASSED length, NOT the common channel length. The cc length is what's left AFTER the other is bypassed. MORE bypassed (longer bypass length) = shorter cc. I LOVE my short cc, but I DO swallow a couple dozen supplements a day. I have no problem with that in exchange for the metabolism I got!
That is EXACTLY how I pictured Jade!!!! lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
