DS math

Simple reason: How much Lap Band advertising do you see when you use this site? How much RNY gastric bypass advertising? Take a look. Now, how much DS advertising do you see blinking away at you, in comparison?  We're making an effort to make up for some of that disparity. We also hear weekly, at minimum, from people who say, "I never heard of the DS before I read your thread." They might or might not choose to pursue that alternative, but at least they now know it exists.  And as Diana has pointed out, "irritating" titles generate more hits than happy or teach-y ones.  You don't like it? Use your block button. It's a wonderful invention. Make the annoying-to-you stuff go away.

"Are we STILL going on about this?

My gosh, I SERIOUSLY THOUGHT this site was for SUPPORT, not all this drama and BS!!

Why can't EVERYONE accept the fact that ONE surgery isn't right for EVERYONE and MOVE ON!!  Quit with the name-calling, there's no excuse for that.

Everyone is free to make their own choice about which surgery is BEST FOR THEM!!!  No one surgery is right for everyone!!

GIVE IT A REST ALREADY!!"

(Oh, sorry....thought I'd just cut and paste this from another thread to save the yappers some trouble....)

Who would want to eat that much.  I have lost 172 pounds and not done one hour of exercise in 14 months.  Glad you had you DS and I am Glad I had my RNY.  Now drop it.  I too eat butter and regular dressing.  I eat 2-4 bites of something sweet and I am satisfied also.  Can't argue the fact it cost me less to eat than you.  I am saving money!!

Yep, right on cue.  Nah....I bet you just WASTE more food going bad in the fridge.....And WHY would we want to eat that much?  Hello!  WE ALL like to eat, obviously. And 3000 cals a day is NOT a lot really -- Just high calorie (high-fat) food--what I PREFER and have no problem eating the rest of my life and KEEPING my EWL off LONGTERM despite it.

Who would want to eat that much?  Why, ME!  And LeaAnn!  And a lot of others!  You got a problem with that?  Of course not.  You're very happy with your 14 months out RNY. I make good money, and I like to eat good food.  I don't need to watch every penny, especially since I'm buying regular food and not "diet" crap.  I'm glad your pouchie works for you.  I like my stomach and pyloric valve myself. And no, I won't "drop it."  Lots of people are VERY happy that I and the other DSers make these posts: Post in which people rejoiced in the DSers posting about the DS on other boards: http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/DS/board_id,5357/cat_id,4957/topic_id,3484967/a,messageboard/action,replies/#27246458 Maybe that will help you "get it."  Even if it's of no help to you.

Yes, well there's your problem, right there: "I would think" -- apparently, notsomuch.  You sounds like Jade's long-lost and not-any-brighter twin. You don't want the life we live, so why don't you just block us?

Diana when you get to goal, with leann, POST THEN. Right now you are a turkey and she is whacked out transvestite. You really look stupid. Talk about bright, go order Jenny Craig for the hell of it, maybe you will get that last 60 pounds off. Since you can eat whatever you want, bahahahahhaaaa.
