I spent New Year's when I was 18 in a full body cast with a broken back and two rods holding my spine together.  That was the result of a drunk driving accident.  I was the passenger.  Good times huh?  You are young, beautiful and healthy.  Enjoy tonight!  Leslie

I am so wishing you the best in the coming year!  You are right about this being the last New Year's as our old selves.  Next year, I am sure we will both have met our goals. Partying is not all it is cracked up to be.  Bad things can happen to good people.  Your Dad should be glad you are at home and safe on this day.  I always stay home, do not get on the roads due to all the crazy people that will be out!  AS  YOU Can see, lots of us are right here on the net with you. I too had times at your age that I felt I had no friends and wondered why I was put here.  But, it does get better with time, and I have 2 beautiful daughters and 2 grandsons.  Give yourself time, as time heals all.  Believe me, please. Happy New Year's to you!

When God Makes a Promise, It remains forever true. When your disillusioned and every hope is blighted, Recall the promises of God and your faith will be relighted.

My 19 year old son is probably feeling this same way! Having no place to go is no big deal and it is safer for you too! I hate that part where you hate you life and wish you weren't alive!!!! I really do. There are always those less fortunate than yourself. Maybe you could help them out.  Just take time to reflect where you want to be NEXT new years and the type or person you want to be. Work toward that...... There is always work to be done - - - on US!!  OH, I am ringing it in alone too....but That's OK with me!! Dianne from FL

With the DS: there is no stoma, so no stoma strictures; there are no limitations (other than volume) against drinking before, during or after meals; 80% of ingested fat is malabsorbed; 98.9% of type II diabetics are CURED of this devastating disease, with data showing stable cure over 10 years out; there is the best average weight loss and most durable (average 76% excess weight loss going out 10 years) of all of the bariatric surgeries.  That's why I had a DS!

You're not alone....even though my husband is in the house...I'm alone too.  Just make the best of it; that's what I'm trying to do.  I don't think that I'm even going to stay up till 12... You are NOT ALONE!  Happy New Year! Hugs, Susan
