I have been having frequent bad gas and have narrowed the culprit down to sugar free fudgesicles.  Has anyone else experienced this with them?

ANYTHING sugar free gives me horrible gas, but especially sf ice cream and candy.  I avoid it like the plague now lol  I was a "gassy" person pre-op to start with, now is 10X worse...ugghh there always seems to be a ever present green fog in my house lol  Good luck to ya! Robin

What really gives me gas is sugar free chocolate ...,.i think its the sugar sub they use. I read some where on these boards that they use baby laxatives ??.. that might be the problem but I'll have a piece once or twice a month and be fine. The problem is when i have more then one piece in a day.

SF icecream.. i just bought some and i haven't noticed gas these past 3 days but ..we'll see. The ones i got are made with splenda. Very yummy i hope there is no gas.

Oh, I hear you!  The ONLY thing that has caused me gas issues in the 11 months since surgery was a teeny little sugar free Klondike bar.  I seriously thought I would float up to the ceiling like a Macy's balloon!  Nothing before or since has caused that same reaction, and I've easily eliminated it from my list of foods to eat.
Courage does not always roar.  Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "I will try again tomorrow."

I knew they made sf Klondike bars, but noone carries them here.  I wish they did - I'd like to try one.   If they are anything like the sf fudgepops that I've eaten though, I won't be as eager to try them.   Luckily this is the only item I've food so far that does that too me.  It must be something in the fudge flavoring because the same brand in fruit flavored popsicles don't do this to me.

They make me puke.  They are the only food that does.  Don't know why.

OMG YES! I thought it was just me that this happened to. I NEVER have gas. Only when I eat sugar-free fudge pops. What is up with that? There has to be a reason why.

I usually do ok with the fudgesicles...but i havent had them in a while. I will say a lot of sugar free things do make me feel either sick or gasy...sometimes its the runs or even dumping syndrome...just depends on what it is. I can't really do dairy so if even try to eat sf ice cream i'm like dead for a few days. I've found that I can eat some sf cookies but if I eat more than like 1 or 2 at a time i feel sick. One of my fav sf things is carmel nips...omg they are so good.  but it could be the dairy/or whatever they use as a substitute for sugar.  ~*Casey
