OK Folks......Hold on and read this......It is 100% the truth even though you might not believe it!!! One week after tt/arm/knee plastic surgery, I went back in for the Dr. to remove a hematoma in my knee.   I went through day surgery out patient, even though the Dr. didn't know if he would admit me until after he saw what was going on w/my knee.  So I was in a hospital room, my hubby was told to wait there and I would be back to that room after surgery.  In walks the anesthesiologist who proceeded to tell my dh that I was in recovery and would be going home later.   DH told him that I would be coming back to the room and Dr. said  "This room??"  Hubby said yes.  Dr. said "Well I was going to take a shower in here!" and he proceeded into the bathroom in my room.  The nurse wheels me from recovery into the room.  Hubby tells her that the Dr. is in the bathroom taking a shower.  She said"  Are you serious?" She pulled the curtain, the Dr. came out of the shower, waved bye to my hubby and left.  The nurse could not believe this!!  She did turn him into administration.  BUTTTTTTT...... Now it's time for me to be released but I have to urinate before I go.  When I walked into the bathroom there was water all over the floor and poop on the toilet!!!!!  The nurse about died then, grabed towels and started cleaning up the mess. After a few weeks I told my plastic surgeon's nurse about the incident....She said "What??? Are you kidding me?"   When I started laughing so did she.  Then when I told my plastic surgeon he about flipped!!!  "What??  Say that again???  Are you telling me......?  Do I understand you right?  The expression on his face was priceless.  Again, when I laughed so did he but he didn't think it was funny at all.   He called the chief of anesthesiology and got things rolling.  The chief called me on the phone, apologized, said the Dr. was fired and was officially written up!!!  He also offered to refund his fee.  I haven't seen it yet but feel sure it will come. This really should be a Sat. night live skit...   Who would believe.......  And no, I won't be going back to that hospital!!!!!!  So be careful when you go to the hospital......the Dr. could have wanted to nap instead of shower and I'd have woken up with him in my bed!!!! Oh my gosh - that is crazy!  Don't you wonder how some of these people qualify to be doctor's to begin with?  Or maybe something happened and he just recently flipped his lid.  Crazy!!! Hey - do you regret having your TT and Arm Lift at the same time?  These are two procedures that I would like to have ... probably will wait another year before I seriously start looking at it ... but I've heard that people don't advise it b/c of needing the arms to help you stand up after the tummy tuck.

I am a healthy BMI now and so I am happy.  I haven't decided yet where my comfort point is for maintaining.  I'm trying to lose more, but I may find out that causes me to have more restrictive daily diet and excercise habits than what I am comfortable with long-term.  It's all about choices!!!

And to think my life was in his hands!!!!  OMG!!!!

I do not regret having the tt and arms done at the same time.  Not a problem.  I rented a lift chair and it was great.  I must let ya know that I did not have the muscle tightening w/ the tt.  That may make a difference.  Maybe someone else can advise on that.

You are so right.  It does need to be on file.  My plastic surgeon said that the medical board usually is for malpractice type of complaints.  But I think I'll shoot a letter  to them anyway.  This at least should be on the Dr.s record incase he does any thing else unprofessional.   Thanks for the encouragement! My goodness that is just horrible! I agree you do need to address a letter to someone because it could be worse than you think! Just think of it this way, he craps on the seat and doesn't bother to clean it up, how in the world would anyone know whether he even bothers to wash his hands prior to putting in IV's and such, he could give someone a staff infection or worse....not to mention what he could pass from one patient to the other by way of unclean hands. Truthfully, you shouldn't even have to pay for that room, he should have to pay for it because he is the one who "used" it! I would bet you could sue somebody over this! I'm just glad you are alright he did not make you sick. Take care! Kellie
