Work at home jobs

Working from home is a great option today, but it requires a high level of self-discipline

It depends... there are plenty of jobs that allow you to work from home, and some of them can actually be quite profitable. Most of them, however, require that you have some set of professional skills and education. I work as a translator in Washington DC, and when I first got here I used to do a lot of freelance work from home. I still do some editing at home. The IT field has plenty of job positions that allow you to telecommute. However, if you mean those sort of "get paid for searching the web" kinda stuff that often shows up in emails... well, no, those wont let you get paid, or at least not much. Most are just schemes. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
