Oh man - how cool.  I hadn't thought of those in a long time!  My mom had one and it was like a big lazy susan (about the size of a good round platter) and it made the scratchy ball bearing kind of noise when you used it.  My brothers and I used to take turns spinning each other on it - LOL.
