No matter what I do, I can smell the stuff in the shakes/drinks whatever!   Makes me want to gag! Im almost three weeks out so Im not allowed to eat meat yet (even tho I have had very thin slices of turkey). I dont feel hungry so I forget to eat - in other words Im only getting about 30 - 35 grams of protein a day.  I am about to cry!!! Anyone out there know how much protein there is in Tofu (bean curd)?  I can eat that no problem! Thanks! Arleen

Have you expressed your difficulty with your Nut?  I don't do protein shakes cause I'm allergic to whey but I do drink 4 glasses of skim milk a day.  I'm not implying you should take it upon yourself to do this but there are alternatives and if you speak to you Nut perhaps you can come to something that would satisfy you both.  Good luck and cheer up...it will get better!
I tried every diet in the book. I tried some that weren’t in the book. I tried eating the book. It tasted better than most of the diets...

Trick - use a sportbottle with the spout This way you cannot smell it when you go to take a drink. I dont do protein drinks..I DO love the Micellar Milk in Chocolate..tastes like chocolate milk. Regular powders tend to have an almost antibiotic smell to them..at least to me

I just wanted to tell you I'm feeling your pain as well. Everytime I have some protein powder in soy milk I get nauseated. So frusterating. I'm only getting about 30g/day too. I've found adding some unflavored protein to pureed bean with bacon soup with extra milk + 1/3 C dry milk powder. The smokey-ness of the soup seems to hide the protein taste. There's 9.25g protein in 4 oz of tofu I believe, so it would be a good source if you can tolerate it. We will get through this and it will get better (at least I keep telling myself this so I don't cry...)

I use Carnation Instant Breakfast 0 sugar added 4 g protein and I drink Braums Fat Free milk because it has 13 g of protein.  Sometimes I put a bit of peanut butter in it with a banana.... very yummy and twice a day gets all my protein in.......

Marquess, have you tried Isopure. It is a fruit flavored drink that can be found at GNC. It comes in several different flavors and each bottle has 40 g of Protein. It tastes very good. Donna

I hear ya girlie!  I found some drinks in the cooler at GNC, I think they are called Isopure, or something like that that have 45 g of protein.  I don't like that "fake" apple taste, but it turns out that is the only one that I actually like!  To me, the other flavors have that protein smell.  Try the apple flavor, one a day will get almost all your protein.  Ask the counter guy, he will point you in the right direction of these drinks, since I am not totally sure of the name.  Hope it gets better for you! Hugs!

Try using a sippy cup or a coffee travel cup ...the cover blocks the smell.  I found it worked well.

Try taking yogurt and some frozen strawberries and throw them in a blender with milk.  Swirl a few times then add the powder.  If you want it thicker, like a smoothee put in some ice cubes.  There are all kinds of s.f. syrups on the market that you can mix in.  I do unsweetened cocoa, choco syrup (s.f.) and some instant coffee.
