OT: Tanning and Acrylic Nails

Hey Kelly, When I get my nails done, they do put a gel coat over it....I was thinking that maybe it is the Tanning lotion....I do try to make sure that I get all the lotion off after applying...but sometimes I guess I miss......I know that the place I go to has this polish called Sun-E  It is supposed to keep the nails from turning yellow...I just didn't feel like paying $16 for it...I was being cheap...maybe I should!  Thanks for the reply

I CAn tell you that LCN (light concept nails) DO NOT YELLOW! I work with it and I have never seen them yellow! For a set it's a bout $125.00 depending on where you live. Once you get them you'll never want to go back. They stay shiny no matter what. it's all the rave in n.j.

WOW!!  $125 for a set?  How much for the fill ins?  I have never heard of those...Guess I'll have to do some research..But, that is a lot of money for nails!  Thanks for the reply.  If you get a chance, let me know the prices on the fill ins.  I will check here in GA where I might get them!!!!  Thanks

I just have the regular nails and my tanning salon sells those pink nail tip protectors for $20, but I bought them on ebay for $8.99 and they work great.   Here is the item number for ebay..... Item number: 150117468968

I'm glad someone knew where to get them!! 

I have pink and white acrylic nails and in the past they would also turn yellow.  I then put a tanning bag together that included my tanning lotion and some baby wipes so that after I put my lotion on I can use a wipe to go over my nails and under them.  This seem to help and they never did turn yellow again.   I have also heard about the covers that can go over your nails...I have seen them at beauty supply stores and you could probably get them on the internet if you looked.
