OT: Prayers Needed for Mother & Child

Hi, Please send prayers for my cousin & her baby. She is in her third trimester & has preaclampsea. The baby developed an irregular heartbeat, so they are sending her by medivac to a larger hospital and it sounds like they are going to do a c-section. BTW--This whole pregnancy has been difficult for her as she found out she has a stage III cervical cancer while she was just in her first trimester. Thank you so much!

Many prayers sent her way sweetie! What a tragic story! I hope the baby is ok and I hope your cousin is ok too. What happens with the cancer after the baby is born. I don't know anything about cervical cancer, is stage III still treatable? Please keep me posted. I will be praying!!!! God bless them and you honey! big hugs, Becky

Hi Beckster! Thanks for your response and prayers. I am not sure exactly what will happen after the baby is born. I think they will do a hysterectomy and give her radiation. I know that it is treatable, but it is less of a chance of survival at this stage. She's having a boy by the way. This will be her second child (her other son is almost 4); she definately has had some trials...a year after her first son was born she got pregnant, but miscarried a little girl. Now the cancer and the problems with this pregnancy. It is a sad, but the ending to this story has not been written yet. I'm going to keep praying for them and claiming victory for them. I hope all is well with you. Have you heard any more good news about your WLS? Hope the paper route is going well, and that you're getting some rest too. Also, do you know how Angela is doing? I wrote her and she said her college age daughter (she doesn't look old enough to have one that age) was going to be visiting while her husband was gone. Sad, sad story! I'm so sorry honey, but like you said the ending is not yet written and I will be praying hard. Please keep me posted. I haven't talked to Ange, but I think her gall bladder surgery was today or tomorrow. I will try calling tomorrow when I wake up and see what I can find out. I'm glad her daughter is coming to visit! I know, she doesn't look that old huh! That is what I said when we met and she said she had an adult daughter. lol She looks great!!! No new news on the WLS. I'm hoping to maybe find out something at support group tomorrow night. Paper route is good, and getting lots of sleep, which is good I know, but I hate sleeping the days away!
