Where they just removed 33 1/2 lbs of excess skin from a woman.  I think she had bypass surgery but I am not sure, I just came in on it.

Yes, my mom told me to watch, but I didn't see the very beginning.  They are talking about SMO at Andover Center in Ohio.  Pam and RJ are the two being focused on in this episode ---regarding food addiction. I don't think she had WLS, she came in at over 600 and they put her on their program of diet and exercise, and she got down 100 pounds.  She was able to get surgery for her panni - which is where they removed the 30+ lbs. RJ came in at well over 900 lbs, and lost almost a hundred I think, but then relapsed and gained most of it back (all still while he was there), then he got back on track and started losing again.  He also had lymphedema in both legs.  His was pretty bad.  He had some treatments though and that seemed to help. Interesting...it really struck me how much I have to be thankful for at this point in my journey.  I have lymphedema, but not as severe at this guy.  He had some severe sores on his leg and where his ankle should be because he was wearing shoes that really were too small to accomodate his ankle area.  I don't know how he could stand putting the shoe on and having it rub that sore.  Uggh!  I myself where birkenstock sandles (which I have come to hate), because I can't wear normal shoes anymore.  I can't wait to be able to actually wear close toed shoes in the winter time again (not that I go many places these days - but gee it will be nice when I'm able to be on the go again).
