Question personal

morning, I am 3 weeks post op and I have dirrhea at least every other day is this normal? I take immodium and it stops it but I got back to work next week and im really worried im on muchies and i get protein in im not sure if its something im eating or what it seems if i got back to just jellos puddings it stops its when im trying to add actual food like chicken salad ....... something that has more of a consisty to it ......is anyone else having this problem?

I did that too, and I find when ever I add something my body is not ready for, I get diareah. Is that dumping of sorts, (pretty sure it is) I am 5 months out and still have it happen once in a while.

I had that a lot newly post-op!! Liquid going, liquid coming out!! LOL It does get better, just keep up with your immodium.

Well after I surgery I didn't really have diarrhea but I am now 5 months post op and wish I did have that problem.  No matter how much water or fiber I get I am always constipated and that gets really old also.  I am being told it is from the iron that I take.

try getting colace it really really works...... its just stool softner u can take everyday if needed.....

Hi Donna!  Almost three years later and I still have the diarrhea.  I started right after surgery and haven't stopped since!  There have been a couple of times that calcium and iron have blocked me up but good, but for the most part, I live with the other.  Just keep your immodium handy.  I am otherwise doing great, so expect that you should too!  Congrats to you on becoming a member of the loser's bench!!!
