Good Evening Tommy. If you live in or around the Anniston area get back into the support system it helps with being accountable to yourself and to others. First and foremost get back to the basic's which is protein first, at least 60 to 70 grams a day. If you are not getting in your water get back to the 64 oz and more if you can. Most of us if we can get in our protein we are not able to hold anything else. If you have started back with the carbs, bread, cake the bad stuff cut them out. Cut out all those empty carbs, soft drinks, alcholic drinks, sweets, candy. Make sure you are getting your calcium, multi vit ever day. Your B12 monthly, weekly, however it was prescribed. You can do it. Follow Dr. Freemans advise to the T. There is a reason that we are told not to do alcholic beverages, take your supplements and eat your protein and get tha****er in. Also I am one of Dr. Freemans patients is 7 1/2 years out.

I am glad to see that you are feeling better. Did you try any of that protein stuff? And if so how bad was it? I am soooo nervous right now and all this waiting is not helping! LOL!

Welcome
I am an Old Timer. I had open Vertical Banded Gastroplasty or VBG for short in 2001 and have lost over 130 pounds (most days). Like many post-ops I have had some regain BUT got back on the wagon and have lost back within 10 pounds of my lowest weight.
OK--you regained 36 pounds. You are not out of the game and you are not a failure. You are just like the rest of us. Get back to eating protein first, drink water water water and hang around with a bunch of losers around here!
I see you are a patient of Dr Freeman. If you are close to Anniston , his support group will be a big help. I am sure you will hear from Louise A who attends the meetings faithfully.
So from one long term post-op to another welcome Old Timers land!

Sounds like you had a good time :>) I'm making an effort to eat "normal" meals and not just a bite here and there so here's my plan for today.

S - slim jim
L - leftovers from last night - chicken with black beans & corn (about 3/4 cup total)
S - yogurt
D - Swiss steak from crockpot
Working out with the Wii and Jenny McCarthy today.
