Topic: Friday! Whatcha Eatin? R U Exercising? Did U Weigh?
Looks like more rain today--which means the grass will be even longer by tomorrow when I have to mow.....oh well, it is better than a drought!!
I weighed this a.m.--down a lb since last week, still within my 5 lb goal range. I know I'm sweating out some weight each week with this heat!!
Eats today:
B1-1/2 c cottage chs with NSA peaches and 1/2 ww eng muffin
B2-Oikos Greek yogurt and Kashi bar
L-pizza
S-cherries
S-slim jim
D-grilled pork chops (didn't cook these yesterday-had leftover spaghetti instead) and cucumber/tomato salad
Dessert-none since I'll have a drink this evening.
Everyone have a great weekend!

He is a handsome little dude. You can see he is a happy camper. I love the way his tongue sticks out. He is waiting on his usual steak and "tater".

See ya in New Orleans!

Topic: Friday morning coffee talk
Good Friday morning everyone. Hope today finds you up, at 'em, and ready for a great day!!
So, I've had many wanting to know how I've been lately. Doing great, more like my old self than I have been in a long time. Feel better than I have in a long time.
Our Friday coffee talk is just a simple statement. "For every Goliath in your life, there is a Stone". Whether you are spiritual or not, Jesus is a stone that will always be there. We all have giants in our lives. We must have stones ready to through at our giants. When David slew Goliath, he hurled the stone and hit him right between the eyes. Aim for your stone. If it is depression, obesity, or whatever. You can beat it!! I KNOW YOU CAN!!
Have a great day !! I will...!!!

That little boy is the light of my life! He has even been onstage with me! He made cameo appearances in Seussical The Musical and in Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory. Tried to get him onstage with me in Hairspray but he didn;t like me in the make up and costumes for Edna. He knew something wasn't right!!!!!

Thanks Kim. The pair that I had before the NB 1442 was Saucony's. I really like those but have not worn athletic shoes in the last several years until I got the NB in the spring. I have got to get over to the Summit to The Fitting Touch for some much needed items very very shortly and will make a stop in The Trak Shak. I am ready to get started on a walking program.

The ones I ended up buying are Saucony. I tried 8 pairs, some Nike, New Balance, Adidas and some other brands I never heard of....the Saucony were the best. I highly recommend (especially with the foot issues) that you go to a running store like The Trak Shak and have them fit you. They watch how you walk and properly size you....mine were right at $100 which I only have to buy one pair a year so it isn't bad.

Kim what kind of running shoes do you use? I have some of the new balance 1442 that I bought for walking but not so sure that they are the best for walking. I want to start back after we get back from vacation. I don't mind paying what ever with my foot problem.
