Hot Tuesday! Whatcha Eatin? Exercising?

It is going to be a scorcher again today!  I have an internal audit starting on one of our products so I'll be busy with that. 

B-1 sl double fiber toast with PB and 1/2 banana
S-Kashi bar
L-not sure-meeting friends at Chinese restaurant
S-Chobani Greek yogurt, fresh pineapple and cantaloupe
D-baked pork chops and asparagus

Last night I ended up doing 45 mins on the treadmill running/walking.  Tonight will be P90X weight workout, I'll probably do the lower body one....and of course the lovely ab workout (I HATE the ab workout....I swear it is going to kill me one day, and I must have a 6 pack under all this skin!!)

I only did 20 minutes on the treadmill this morning but I do plan on going back after work and will spend an hour there.

B - single, scrambled with cheese and coffee
S - not sure
L - re-fried bean, unsweet tea
S - going to try a spoon of peanut butter
D - meeting Leo for supper, maybe a salad or something baked

Remember all those that have to work outdoors!!!

Hey Debbie. I think I might have stumbled onto why your scale isn't moving. It doesn't look like you are getting enough calories. Do you track them on any of those calorie websites or write them down? If not try it and you might be surprised at how little you are actually eating. Your body might have slipped into starvation mode. It is hanging on to all the weight it can.
 

It was just a thought, but it sure doesn't look like you eat much.

I really don't eat that much.  My downfall in the past has been those blasted cokes.  I didn't put it down but I do drink at least one a day still.  In the past I've had as many as 4 or 5 a day.  Totally wasted calories. 

I am going to try your idea and start tracking my calories.  You may be on to something.

You are welcome. I use the Daily Plate to track mine. It keeps up with protein, carbs, fats, and all that other stuff I might need to know. Let me know how that is working for you.

I got back on Diet Cokes and was being a fiend with them. I was able to go cold turkey. I have not had a Diet Coke in 6 days. I was drinking up to 4 a day. You have done well to be down to one a day.

Good luck and I suspect when the calories go up the scale will come down.

I love the HealthTracker on this site!  Use it everyday.  I too was thinking the same thing...not nearly enough calories or good carbs/protein.  I eat 1500-1800 calories a day now, and about 30-40% is from protein.  You need fuel.

Good Morning Alabama!!!!

I got up at 5 this morning and drank coffee until 6. Took the dogs out. Fed them and then went for my walk.

I walked almost 3 miles this morning. This Alabama humidity is killing me. Maybe if I didn't spend as much time drinking coffee, it wouldn't be so bad. Got home from that and drank 2 bottles of water. Now for the eats:

B - Protein shake made with yogurt, pretty darn tasty
S - Probably won't have one, if I do it will be baby carrots and hummus
L - Maybe a salad with some grilled chicken on it
S - Maybe another protein shake or string cheese
D - I have no idea. I might make meatloaf or we might just have something light like tuna salad
S - If I need one I will probably have string cheese

Oh yeah I forgot, I have to do my core work and arms today. Didn't do them yesterday.

Sure will. I have to admit mine are not all that original. If you want some really good recipes, go to the RNY board and look at CleopatraNik's pouch party site. She has loads of good recipes. Mine are made the same as hers, I just add flavors that I like.

For the shake I had this morning I used:

1 carton cherry carbmaster yogurt                                   90 cal and 12g protein
1 scoop Designer Whey vanilla protein powder               90 cal and 18g protein
2 pkgs. of splenda
1 Tbsp. SF cheesecake jello pudding mix                        25 cal?
2 Tbsp. SF white chololate DaVinci Syrup
4 oz. of water
About 8 ice cubes

I put all in the blender except ice and blended for about 2 minutes. Then I added as much ice as was needed to make it nice and thick.

30 g of protein for only 205 calories.

It kept me full until lunch at about noon. I drank the shake about 7:30 or 8 so I think that was a good deal.

Working this evening so sometimes my plan is altered....but here is the plan:

B- Thin Bagel with creme chesse  (110 Cal and 6g Protein), Water
L- Not sure yet...meeting Michael for lunch.....aiming for some type of salad with protein...if we go to Earth Fare I am getting the Soy Chicken Curry Salad! (20g Protein)
S- Iced Coffee with SF Vanilla and Nonfat milk
D- 1/2 c. beef roast and 1/4 c. rice (15g Protein)
S-  Pure Protein Bar  )20g Protein)


I get in about 3 miles of walking including stairs at work each day so on work days I am not exercising.  Also doing better about staying away from this sinful southern food!  I think the culture shock has worn off and I am back to realtiy.  The indulgences are over.

I am back on track as far as focusing on my protein intake and getting it back up to at least 60 g a day.  Keeps me from getting so hungry and I find that I have more energy.  Problem is I have lost a couple of lbs. in the past 2 days.  I'd rather hold where I am.  Good with a 2 lb lost but don't want it to turn into 10lb. lost.
