Secret Pal????
Secret Pal can be a lot of fun. You draw a name (or rather the person in charge) and you do not tell that person who you are. You send them a gift once a month from their list of likes. It usually lasts about 6 months. Someone also gets your name and you get gifts each month from a secret pal. It really is a lot of fun.

Do you mind if I put my two cents in...I know with the inflation and all, I guess it's more like putting in my 20 cents. LOL
I think besides just buying a gift one a month for the person being a secret pal means sending a card occasionally in between the gifts to let them know you are thinking about them, or praying for them. Remembering their special days like their birthdays, surgiversaries, anniversaries. If you see them post that they are having an issue or problem, send them a card to let them know you are thinking of them. If they have something special and good happen, congratulate them!
You can set up a special profiile on OH as "so and so's secret pal" and send messages from that account instead of sending cards through the mail, or you can set up a free e-mail account through yahoo or y-mail, g-mail through google, hotmail, and there are others you may know about. Just make sure it isn't going to show your real name anywhere when you set it up.
Anything to make it more fun for the person on the receiving end. Even though we are buying a gift and spending around $20 per month, to me it's more about the thought behind the gift and the other little things that make you know they are enjoying doing things for you and you are being thought about and or prayed for when needed andn or all the time.
I think it is the job of a Secret Pal to make that person feel SPECIAL and remembered!
I know this went long, but thanks for allowing me to express myself about Secret Pal. As you can see, I am passionate about the whole thing.

How tough a job is it to do it ...I mean to head it up ,,,I am a no none sense kinda girl LOL and I think if you sign up , YOU PLAY and follow the rules unless you have a real issue as in cant afford to but them if you cant afford to....dont sign up etc..
I didnt play last time as I had a not so great experince and my pal didnt do the once a month etc ...I agree with Connie ,,,,,it isnt just a gift though ,,,,,it is a REAL FRIEND who will send a card etc when needed.
Anyway, let me know how big a job it is ...
