Thursday Hugs
Sending out hugs on this awesome Thursday morning!!!! It is going to be a great day. You all stay warm and have an awesome day. I love y'all!!!
God is our refuge and our strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. (Psalm 46:1-3)
A refuge is defined as a shelter or protection from danger or distress. It is also defined as something to which one has recourse in difficulty. At my weakest moments, He has always been there to hold me up, to shelter me from whatever I was facing. I have often thought of God as a "quick fix". Oh my, how stupid I was. God is not a "drive-through" God. He desires to be a part of our lives constantly, not just when we need something. He loves us. What if our children only called when they wanted something?? How would that make us feel?? He wants to be our strength; He wants to be our ever-present help. Not just our help at the worst moments of our lives. But He want to share the good times with us too. We place limits on a limitless God. Once we learn to totally live knowing that He is our strength and our help and that without Him, we can do nothing, we will not fear, no matter what comes our way. Just know and never doubt that He is our refuge, our shelter, our protector and He is ever present at all times, especially in our times of need. Just call out to Him.
