Jury Duty and me

I had Jury Duty this week, which I consider an honor, but I found out something about myself. I am not a very good juror. Even when finding someone quilty my heart went out to them and I have not been able to get them off of my mind. I cried during deliberation, I cried during the reading of the verdict and I have cried several times since the trial ended. My heart goes out to one particular person because if I had been in their shoes I'm afraid I would have done the same thing.
I want to send a card to this person and let them know that they are in my thoughts and prayers. Is this stupid? Leo helped me find out that they will not lose their job because of our verdict and that has relieved me considerably. He thinks it will help me if I go ahead and make contact. I won't mention that I was a juror but just that I know about the situation and that they are on my mind. I could tell this person is strong and I believe they will be fine but I'm sure they will have doubts about their judgement for a long time.
Tell me what you think about the card idea. If its just to ease my conscious then I would not do it but I truly believe they need to hear some encouragement.
Blesings,
DebbieDoo

Good morning DebbieDoo. I have seen many many sentencing handed down and some tore me up too. There were some that should have gotten sentences that didn't. I kinda understand how you feel. Often, we have clients that I want to just hug and hug, but I can't due to rules. I have been on a jury and felt as you did. I don't know about the card honestly. Maybe if you send one, just send it anonymously. You are so sweet Debbie. Love you!!
I have to agree with Carmen...sending the card anonymously is my vote.
It is kind of odd that you had jury duty when you did...I too had jury duty, but I was called for it in Madison County, AL for I am still registered to vote there. Of course, we live in Pensacola, FL now, so I did not have to go. I called to tell them I had moved and was excused from duty. I am SO GLAD I did not have to go too.
Sending big (((((HUGS))))))) to you! You are thought of often as I drive through Montgomery to work.
Love ya,
Jackie
