Saturday Hugs
I waited patiently for the LORD;
he turned to me and heard my cry.
2 He lifted me out of the slimy pit,
out of the mud and mire;
he set my feet on a rock
and gave me a firm place to stand.
3 He put a new song in my mouth,
a hymn of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear
and put their trust in the LORD. (Psalm 40:1-3)
All too often, I have not waited patiently upon the Lord. I have attempted to work out the situations myself only to make a bigger mess. Once I moved out of the way and allowed Him to work through the situation, things became much better. I am learning that the moment I give it to God and walk away and leave it there, He begins to work. I cannot go and pick it back up, I must leave it with Him. That is a very very hard thing to do, but it is awesome to sit back and watch Him work. He will put a new song in our mouth and pick us up out of whatever we are in and place us on solid ground. Our part in all of this is just to have faith and believe He means what He says.
