Good morning Alabama Board friends.....Some wows
I hope you had a fabulous week-end. It sounds as if many of you did. Friday I went to the adult Christmas party at church. A good time was had by all. I particularly enjoyed it. I wore a red sweater with a red and green plaid shirt. Can you imagine that, a year ago I would have not been caught dead in a red sweater. I would have stopped traffic for miles. As for me-- I am under the weather again with that stupid Sand Mountain crud Sat and Sun. Didn't go to church. Missed it terribly.. Don't want to complain, cause compared to many other families and illnesses, I am thankful I only have some bug which I will eventually be rid. Feeling a little better this morning. Made me a cup of fabulous Earl Grey Tea with essence of Bergamot oil and some honey and cream--felt so good to my sore, scratchy throat. I can squeak a little now.
Dr's offices are full, but I have an appt in the morning. I have a wonderful PC physician. I want shots--massive does of something that will make me feel like traveling Christmas. I want to see my family and Sherry's family for Christmas. This is the first year I have had Christmas spirit in many years
and have not stayed home.. I actually personally went Christmas shopping. Another first in years!
After wearing the only pair of dress pants that were close to fitting me Fri night, Thank god the sweater covered the accordion effect in the back of the pants. Looked like I was wearing a diaper. I went and bought a couple of pair of dress pants to hold me over a while--two sizes smaller than the smallest pair in my Jackie Gleason wardrobe and 6 sizes smaller than the largest pair I couldn't wear because they were too small.
Have a blessed day--I love my friends on the Alabama OH Board

Hi Gary,
Those are some GREAT WOW moments.
I hate you were sick on the weekend again. I have been sick for the last two weekends myself. It have to drag myself out to work during the week, but it seems every Friday afternoon...to Saturday morning I start feeling really cruddy and it lasts through Sunday and into Monday or Tuesday, but I still have to work.
Ain't it grand to buy those smaller sizes and be able to go out and walk around the stores and sho for them yourself. And, to be able to go to parties and other functions and feel good about how you look!
Life after WLS is GRAND!! You are doing great and are a real inspiration on the Bama Board. Keep up the good work Gary!!
