Vitamins HELP!
I'm having a hard time affording my Bariatric Advantage vitamins so I went to Walmart tonight and bought a few things to try. When I got home and compared them to my Bariatric Advantage & Celebrate ones and noticed the Walmart ones only have half of what the others have meaning I would have to take more to make up the difference RIGHT? I'm at a loss can someone help with with much cheaper alternatives Please. I bought Viactiv Multi-Vitamin chews, Spring Valley Calcium chews 500mg with Vitamin D & K, Spring Valley High Potency Iron 27 mg, Spring Valley Sublingual Dots B-12 500mcg. I haven't opened anything so I can probaly take them back if there not sufficient. Someone please help. I've been neglecting myself lately on vitamins and such and I'm trying to do better.
Hi Amy,
My primary care physician after checking my bloodwork has me taking calcium, iron and a multivitamin twice daily, I take the stuff from Sam's Club and so far my levels are great! The thing about vitamins is that any amount over what your body can absorb at that given time gets wasted. This is why he has advised that I take them all twice daily. Hope this helps a little.

Amy...I just went to the doc a few weeks back. I am 4 years out and I take pre-natals (Spring Valley) one - two b-12 shots each month and sublinqual b-12 most every day, and my calcium citrate. I also take Vit. C, D3 and Licopene each day just for my immune system. Dr. Freeman said that I should keep doing what I was doing.
