So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. (Colossians 2:6-7)
Paul was not saying to walk after Christ, but rather to walk in Christ rooted or abiding in Him. When something is truly rooted, it is hard to kill it. It is hard to pull it up out of the ground it is in. If we are truly in Christ, we will not be easily pursuaded by things or others. We will be thankful for what we have been given in Him. Once we accept Christ and begin to grow roots in Him, He will shine in our talents, our gifts, our personalities and our cir****tances, no matter what. People will know that we are His. Shine Jesus Shine!!!!!
