WLS Groups Near Auburn?

Wondering if there are any WLS group meetings in Auburn, AL or near Auburn.  I would love to attend a group meeting closer to home.  Would save so much time and money!

I know there is a group that will once every blue  moon get together but I do not think it is a formal support group, and I have never been just have heard. As far as I know there is nothing really in our area. My suggestion is the Group in Anniston but that is because I am partial to Dr Freeman and he supports this group partially I do believe. I will check around at work today and see if there is one in Lagrange or that area for you!

I've been looking for a support group closer to the area too. (I work in Opelika but live in Phenix City.)  The nearest one I have found is in Newnan, GA.  I'm not sure if it is still active though. 

There are so many people who have had WLS in this area.  It blows my mind that there isn't a support group.  (Especially since Montgomery & Columbus GA are so close by.)

I am in Opelika and I would love to have a support group closer to home.  Wonder if we should just get our own going!  I have ask around and have not found one.  Wish EAMC would  support one but there are no drs here that do this surgery.  Let me know if you find anything.  I had my surgery in March and just have a couple of friends that have had it and we try to talk often.
