Julie and Julia Experience

I saw Jule and Julia yesterday afternoon.  It was quite an experience.  As the previews were going, a lady fell getting into her row of seats.  And it was BAD.  Many people jumped up to help:  turns out the guy in front of me is a medical aid of some sort, so he helped a bit too.  She hit her head and was bleeding a lot.  The theater, which was managed by teens at that time (seriously!), handled it beautifully.  They turned off the previews and anything else on the screen, turned on the lights, called the paramedics, got her information and contact information for a loved one, brought ice and a blanket, and stayed with her, stayed at the door for the paramedics, and managed to keep the theater going too.  Turns out she likely broke her hip, especially from the horrible angle her hip and leg were at when they got her on the gurney.  It took about 20-30 minutes total from fall to exiting with the medical folks, but we all hung.  I prayed with the people around me and we all chattered a bit.  The staff thanked everyone for helping out and then started the movie without the rest of the previews (thank goodness).

Through the movie, the ladies around me and the couple in front of me and I laughed and talked about it.  When it was done, the lady next to me wished me a lovely weekend.  We both agreed that the movie made us want to cook!  And that we would ask people to pray for this lady, whose name we don't know.  So please do.

Janice...I will be praying for this lady.  Also, it is awesome that you all prayed for her right then and there.  So many are ashamed to open up to God in situations as these.    I praise Him that you and the others were there for her.  You have an awesome day!!!!!
