I love your style .. and how wonderful your husband is (please tell him thank you for me!). 

I have to share this with you just because I know you will understand and maybe get a giggle out of it.  This past weekend I had lunch with a friend who is 8 days out from a masectomy to include lotsa lymph node removal.  We were talking about her sunny outlook and whatnot and she admitted that she was pretty angry and gloomy for awhile ... then she had the angry thought "I just spent a fortune to highlight my hair and it will be gone before the highlights grow out .. what a waste!!!!!!"  LOL, and then she realized how goofy that was and decided to laugh.

When you get lemons make lemonade.  Keep that mirror for a long time.  You are an incredible woman!

Lady, let me tell you....just when I get about ready to cry at one of your posts I either end up busting out laughing or feeling quite inspired by you...most of the time BOTH!
Your strengh can only come from a deep relationship with our maker.
I love you and see you from the inside out whether you are hairless, slick, sporting a wig or wearing pig tails! You are beautiful any way you look at it.

How ya doing Phyllis?? I feel like I haven't seen you in years. Oh wait a sec - it has been years, hasn't it? Great day. When was that Luverne Reunion when I made so many wonderful friends. I know it was before Leo and I got married and way before you got married. Wow - time does fly!!!

I know that you understand my relationship with God because I believe you have the same one. He is our all in all, isn't He??

And by the way, I think you are beautiful inside and out too!!!

Debbie, I am so proud of you.  You have come so far and done so well when all that life has dealt you.  YOu have been through so much and you still have a smile on your face.  I only wish I could be half the woman that you are.  Just know that you are loved and prayed for often.  I AM PROUD OF YOU.

Now girl, you know that you have faced some pretty bad things too and you are always an inspiration. You have made us all proud many times!!

You have earned the right to wear your hair in any manner you see fit...if you want to go free...if you want to wear the wig, whatever!  It is YOUR choice!
As the others have said, you are beautiful.  You are - inside and out, and one of the most beautiful human beings I have ever had the opportunities of getting to know!  I pray that when you look at yourself in the mirror, you see a beautiful child of God who is a blessing...not a woman with a few less hairs on her head.

Do you remember the song Bette Midler sang - "Did You Ever Know That You're My Hero". Every time I look at you or hear your name I think of that song. It's nothing special that you've done but its just you being you. For some reason I feel a close connection to you and you will never know how much you mean to me. If I came across condencending or rude in ANY way in my post, I am soooooooooooo sorry! It was not meant that way! I posted to give encouragement, I just got to thinking bout it last night & was worried it may not come across the way I intended.

I believe you are like me, you hunt for the humor in the situation...I mean really....sometimes it's either laugh or cry & I don't know bout you, but I wear contacts & crying just makes it to where I have to clean them. Plus....the swollen eyes, snotty nose, headaches & generally looking like a HOT MESS, I try to avoid it at ALL costs!

You hang in there sweetie! If it comes down to it, I am sure a bunch of us can get together & we can ALL go get big ole Dolly Parton wigs & go to town! We can be the Bama version of the Sweet Potato Queens!
