You are not alone. I've had that feeling for a while. What I've been doing this week is going to grab a cup of coffee. I can't believe that it is really helping me curb my appetite. Yesterday I drank a cup of coffee around 1:00 pm that had been sitting on the warmer since early morning. I just added a little extra creamer and it was ok. I don't know that that would work for you but its helping me. I think stress or emotions is what is making us feel like we need food. For the past hour I've been watching the clock waiting for lunch. It's good that we're confessing. I think this will help us too.

I'd like to see what others have to say.

I plan ahead for this kind of thing. Celery is my friend, carrots too.
I have to eat every few hours due to severe hypoglycemia but I can make it the least calories possible. Celery, carrots and water get me through.

I wish I liked celery or carrots but I'm not very big on veggies. Guess coffee is gonna have to do it for now. And water. Water really does help with the stomach hunger problem but not the head hunger.

Im having this same problem, Im having family issues that have me stressed beyond words and all I want to do is worry and snack! I really wish they fixed my brain when they did my bypass! I also wish I had the answer to it! Im like you I have a desk job that doesnt allow me to be up running around so I see no clear answer! If you find one please share it!

Cristy,

Family issues are my biggest enemy right now. I'm worried over my daughter's finances. It's a mother's perogative I guess. I just hate to sit and watch them struggle to get things paid and then have their air conditioning go out on top of everything else. This is not an easy fix thing. We're talking thousands of dollars that none of us has. It makes me sick with worry.

I thought when Tara grew up, got married and had kids that I could stop worrying. It's worse though!!!

Anxious to see what everyone else has to say about the snack problem.

I know exactly what you mean! My father is reliving his childhood and has the 4 of us super stressed! I think hes paying me back for my teenage years!

Hilary...I think most of us feel this way at one time or another.  My head hunger happens some days and last for several.  When this happens, I try to eat like the other lady said...something with not many calories. However, I have to admit that that does not always work.  Water is a great deterent though.  I love my crystal light orange in my water.  I will drink a bottle in about 2 minutes.  I don't know what to tell you except to try to get your mind on something else.  I also have a desk job but I can get up and go to the courthouse every once in a while.  That helps me.  I know you will find something that works for you.  BTW...I also love ice.

I've been the same way this entire week.  Oh my, it's been BAD.  I don't know what's wrong or maybe it's the end of school getting to me,  There's been FOOD galore at school all week and I've eaten more than my fair share of it too.  ULG........

I can so relate Hillary!!!  I have a desk job too, and I find myself wanting some sort of snack sitting here all day.  Some days, I'll go with peanuts (not too bad) but others, its something out of the snack machine and it's NOT a good choice!!!  I can attest to the head hunger, too...it's just a demon that we have to figure out how to tame.  In the meantime, I'll drink coffee or water or something...and NOT keep any change in my desk drawer or purse so I won't be tempted to go to feed the machine, lol.

Keep your chin up!  You're doing a great thing with the 'whatcha eating?' post....
