ooooooo!!!!!  We are so excited to hit the road on Friday...!!

I do have a question for you fine folks of Alabama...  When we leave the picnic (oooops.. did I say that out loud...?!?) we will be heading to Randys folks in Central FL. Past years we would go thru Georgia and this year we are taking a whole other route.  An adventure I say...!!  Anywooo...

Our mapquest is routing us I65 to Montgomery, then 231 to I10.  We then will take I10 to I75 in FL.  Here is my question...  How is the traveling on 231 from Montgomery to I10..?  Would that be the recommended way to go.  Not to be a dork... but I am... LOL

What'ya think...  Thank for putting up my my ignorance... LOL

That sounds like a logical route to get to I-10.  If I was going that way, I would certainly take 231.  It's a pretty major highway so you should be fine.

Dana,

231 is a 4 lane road and though you go through several towns, it's not a bad drive at all. I-10 isn't that far from Dothan. You might want to stop in Dothan for a meal. I miss my travelling days down that way. I used to go to Cocoa Beach 3 or 4 times a year but that has stopped unfortunately. Have a safe trip and I'll get to meet you Saturday!!
