Tuesday coffee talk

Good Tuesday morning everyone.  Hope you slept as good as I did!!  Today is going to be a wonderful day.  I can just feel it.  

Our challenge today is to realize that the storm won't last forever.  It is storming here with lightening and thunder.  While the sound of the storm doesn't bother me, our border collie Skeeter is terrified of it.  She is pacing and trying to get up in my lap.  She will be this way until the storm is over.  The storm will be over soon and she will be happy and calm again.  We are the same way.  When we have storms in our lives, we are unsettled and get scared too often.  Pretty soon, the storm dies down and we are fine.  Storms don't last forever.  They come and go, but after the storm, we are better and stronger.  Stand your ground and be prepared for the storm.  You will come through it.  This too shall pass.

So, whos up this morning?  What cha sippin' on?  Me?  I'm loving me some Chocolate Truffle coffee.  So good too.  Wanna cup?

The storms of life are frightening, but prayer wraps me like a blanket in the Love of Jesus!  I have to leave Joe this morning to return to work.  Not because I desire to.  I have a job and responsibility.  So with much apprehension I'll go today.  However, I can say that no matter the situation the Lord has never failed me through the storms of my life.  There were many storms when I would, as Peter,  shift my gaze from the Lord and begin to sink in the waters of life, but one cry to the Lord and he was there to lift me to safety again.

Randall- This post really hit home this morning. Really!  I am up at 6:00am because it is thundering and my lab is literally crying to get in my lap. I gave her the "special" medicine her vet prescribes to help her cope (so she will not hyperventilate) during storms.

Hoping this storm will pass soon so peace comes to this house-as well as rest. Hoping the same to all *****ad this as well.

Good Tuesday morning!  I was sleeping so well that I didn't want to get up this morning.  I hope you are right that today is going to be a wonderful day, cuz after yesterday, I can certainly use a good day.  (boy did I have a chaotic and busy day yesterday)..  But today is a new day!

I have braved many, many storms in my life and know that the Lord has carried me through each and every one of them.  You are so right that they don't last forever.  I have also seen my fair share of glorious days as well where I just know I have been blessed.  Thanks for the reminder that the bad times are temporary and better times are usually just around the corner.

I'm up (obviously) and sippin' on some brazillian cappuccino and boy-oh-boy did I make a good cup this morning.  Some days it's just better than other days and I think I outdid myself today.

Looking forward to a great day today as I head to day one of a Microsoft Access class.  I sure hope I am able to learn this software and put it to good use in my job.

Lord knows I have been through SO many storms in my life.  You just stand firm, knowing that, as you said...."This too shall pass". 
We are preparing to close on our NEW HOME (YES, new home completed in 2009)  in Cantonment, Fl.  I know everyone is getting sick of hearing about our home closing...but, if they only knew the STORMS of what we have been through just to get to this point, they would understand why I post what I post!!!!  We will close April 30th. 
On a LIGHTER note...hee hee, no pun intended, I have only 2 more pounds until I have arrived to my goal weight!!!!  I am so happy, I got to my goal weight @ 1 month before my target date...Mother's Day.

Way to go on getting close to your goal weight.  You can drop those 2 lbs easily before Mother's day. 

And no, we are NOT tired of hearing about your house closing.  Keep on keeping us posted.  I hope that you will consider having us (our support group...Weigh Down) over for coffee one Saturday morning once you get settled in.  We'd love to see you new home.

I also like this challenge. My screen on my cell phone is a flame with "Storms Never Last" at the bottom. You know my situation over this past year. Well, there are still some minor showers here and there, but most of the tornado activity is at a minimum!! Surely things are only gonna get better from here on out!!

Love you guys....I need to get ready to head out the door in a few minutes. I had yesterday off, and it has really spoiled me!! The good thing is...today is payday and it's a 4 day week for me!!

I love storms! I've always loved to hear the wind blowing, the thunder booming and see the lighting strike. I guess I'm weird. But, I also recognize the danger they can bring. That's the secret of facing storms - realize the danger and be on guard. Satan knows what to throw in your path to make you stumble but reach up for the hand that never leaves you. God is my calm till the storm passes by. Today I go for a test to see if I have a new cancer in the same breast but in a different area. Right now I feel that calmness but a couple of days ago I was scared and crying. It's so hard to put faith into action. Enough of that - I feel like I dwell too much on my cancer and not enough on the goodness of God. He's so good to me. He's my comfort when I'm weary, he's my shelter from the storm, He's my shield when I'm in battle and through this life, I'll fear no harm.

Hey Froggy  here !!!! Storms I have been thru....      Maxie and I will see you Sat. I asked him last night, he said yes. Now I have to tell Michele and Vicki.
I got up and fixed Davids breakfast and lunch.
Drinking CL fruit punch.
