Has anyone else experienced extremely bad breath not from the mouth but up from the stomach.  It's driving me crazy.  My job requires constant verbal contact and I have to have mints or gum in my mouth all the time and sometime it doesn't even work.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Angie  this might not help and you might already have been checked for this but by any chance do you think that you might could have an ucler.   Hope that you and Billy will be able to make it to the reunion.

When your body goes into ketosis (sp?) from eating nothing but protein (I believe that's right) you'll get the horrible breath. It's been almost 5 years since my surgery so my facts might be a little off. But what I'll never forget was my Dad taking me outside one day during a visit and telling me that my breath was horrible and I needed to brush my teeth. Girl, I broke down into tears right away! Dumped my purse out to show him all the gum and mints I had with me that were not helping. Oh he felt terrible and I felt terrible. I'm glad in a way that he told me my breath stunk  I guess, but I was embarrassed. I can't remember how long it lasted...I think only a couple of weeks. Maybe someone will have a more in depth answer for you.

Angie, I have heard this will happen during the rapid weight loss period.  I was thinking about getting some breath assure or parsley capsules to see if it helps.

Hey honey.....Did you get an appt?  He was on vacation this week, as he went to visit Mickey Mouse....LOL :)  It could be you are H. Pylori positive or have an ulcer.  Were you positive for H. Pylori before surgery?  I hope to see you, Billy, and Hannah real soon.

Love you girl.

No not that I am aware of.  But I will call next week and find out.  It has been much better since I started taking a tail end load of pepci and pepto bismol on Monday.   We hope to see you soon too.

love you
Angie
