Heat?

Just curious as to what ever one keeps their heat set at. I have mine set at 77 and was telling some one that and they thought that I was nuts. They told me they keep their heat set at 68. That is a little to cool for me, so help me out and tell me what you keep yours at.  Even at 77 I am still cold and have on sweats.

Winter 72
Summer 78

We do keep throws to cover with when watching tv. During the summer, we use our ceiling fans.

Any higher than 72 in the winter & we have sinus trouble.

Since out central heating messed up.. we're using the gas logs from the fireplace.. but I normally I would set my heat on like 75 and still freeze.. i too keep throws around and use the ceiling fans winter and summer.

Mine is at 70 year round. I keep flannel or fleece sheets on our beds when it is cold. I also layer my clothing, since I tend to be the cold one.

A casual stroll through the lunatic asylum shows that faith does not prove anything.

Hey Renee I have been meaning to buy some of those flannel sheets. If I layered enough to stay warm I couldn't move.

Okay you and I are not to far off with the heat. I also use my gas logs ever know and then but with gas being so high I don't use them often.  My den does not get any direct sun and it stays chilly so we light the logs in the afternoon and at night.  I don't think my heat pumps have stopped one time today. I am still about to freeze. I guess i am not the only one freezing.

Thanks Lisa I keep the air at 80 in the summer and run the ceiling fans. I run 2 ceiling fans and a table fan in my bedroom the year round. I was just wanting to know if I was just a strange one for wanting the heat so high.

68 - 70 in the winter, 70 - 72 in the summer. I tis cool for me in the winter but I try to deal with it. I had rather be a little cool than get a huge heating bill and my hubby complains about beign too hot if it set any higher.

Thanks for your input. I guess I am the strange one here. I would be freezing year round  at your house. I keep the air around 80 with the ceiling fans running.  If it gets to hot for Bobby he can walk outside and cool off.  I can tolerate the heat better than being cold.

We keep our heat at 70.  We have natural gas and it tends to dry my skin and sinuses if we run it too much.  I personally could use a little more heat, but I am outnumbered and everyone else is comfortable at that temperature.  I would suffocate if the heat were set to 77...lol.  I just layer on the clothes and bundle up with a cat and a warm blanket.  We also burn a fire in the fireplace any chance we get. (which isn't as often as I would like).
