Last call on GATLINBURG OUTING!

What am I missing here? The Alabama board could not post their cruise information on OH and this person is allowed to post about a Gatlinburg get together?

AND--If you look, the MONEY is mailed directly to an indiviual, not to a Company.

This certainly seems unfair that the ALABAMA people could not even post to their own State board about a trip but someone else can come here and post and request the money be sent directly to them?

Go figure!

I'm truly sorry that I might have offented you in anyway. I did not do this in anyway to miss lead anyone. But this is how we have done it in the past and I did not think there was anything WRONG.

Jeannie...it's CERTAINLY NOT YOUR FAULT at all.  It's OH's fault.  We've posted things here for years about meetings, gatherings, trips and such and now we're not allowed to do it.  But it seems they are allowing you from Ga. to come here and do something we're not allowed to.

Again Jeannie.....THIS IS REALLY NOT YOUR FAULT!  I commend you for setting up such a wonderful trip.  I know it will be just great.  I'm glad you're allowed to post it, but we here wonder why WE cannot post such things.  Please accept my appologies if I've hurt your feelings.  I really didn't mean to.  You are welcome here on the Alabama board ANYTIME and I hope that you will be back and visit us more often.  We have several from GA that post here and I'm very good friends with.  Everyone is welcomed here.

EXACTLY! I am glad that you understood where I was coming from with my comments.

I think it is admirable that people are willing to put the time and effort into planning events and those who do so should be proud of their efforts and should be appreciated for having done so.

My complaint is NOT that someone -- anyone -- has put together an event and posted about it, my complaint
IS that some have been allowed to post about such events and other have been prohibited from doing so.

So...clearly my complaint is not directed towards Jeannie and her willingness to work to make an event a success, but rather at the unfairness of Obesity Help in their application of the rule not allowing post regarding such events.

I did report the post, so I guess we shall see if Obesity Help will fairly apply that rule, knowing that they are aware of the post.

Jeannie, I see nothing wrong with what you did !  I don't think Carolyn or Loretta do either.  They are not trying to make you feel bad! I don't think you owe anyone an apology.

No, I am not trying to make Jeannie feel bad...not at all. That does not make it right that she has been allowed to come to this board and post information regarding a "gathering" when the people who most frequently are on this board are not allowed to do so themsleves.

While Jeannie does not owe anyone an apology--OBESITY HELP needs to be consistent in what they allow or do not allow. I certainly DO think that it is WRONG for this post to be on this board.

I think it is a case of OBESITY HELP not equally applying the rules and because of her affiliation with
OBESITY HELP, it is ok for her when it is not ok for others.

For the record, I usually speak very clearly and say exactly what I mean. If anyone has any question as to what I mean or if anything I say needs clarification, please allow that person to ask me for that information. I don't speak for others and I would prefer others not do so for me.

 I was trying to make Jeannie feel better and did not mean to speak for you.  I will never mention your name in another one of my post!!. Trust me. 

I try to be positive in all of my post and certainly do not want to cause problems.  I mostly lurk because it is obvious no matter how hard you try to be nice there is always got to be someone who wants to be ugly.

I think you should have sent your concerns directly to OBESITY HELP.
