We got our W-2's on Wednesday and by Wednesday night, I had gone on line and filed mine! Got the email notice back the next morning that they had been accepted and the direct deposit would be released to my bank by 1/30/09. (Federal that is, have not gotten the one from the State back yet)
I can live with that!

(I actually think I am going to take a little bit of that money and head off for a weekend trip somewhere.
Not sure where, but I have a little time to think about it.)
Carolyn~
I spent Saturday working and playing! I went in and worked about four hours then left to go shopping and to have lunch with a friend. After that I went back to work for another hour and a half, finishing up what I needed to get done. I love the ability to get overtime--certainly helps with my bills, and I sure do appreciate that my employer allows me the flexibility to work the overtime when it is convenient for me. I can go in early or stay late during the week and can work anywhere from 6am to 8pm on Saturdays and/or Sundays. I know this overtime won't last forever but I sure am taking advantage of it while I can. The more I work, the more I can pay on bills! If it just keeps up for FIVE more months, my car will be paid off then and that will certainly be helpful too!
Sounds like Kyle had a good time with Christians room.
He is the proud grandpa and I am sure he loves doing anything that he can for that little boy! Glad you finally got your shower and hopefully you grabbed a nap too!
Today--I slept in--until about 8:30. Hannah wanted me up to dry her hair before she went to Church with Nanny and Poppa. She is such a sweetie and is so good for my Mom and Dad. She keeps them active and moving!
We lost our cat of 12 years, will be two weeks ago tomorrow and my Dad has been upset about that, but having her here just brings about a happiness in him.
That child would live here and never go home if she had her way--and if I had mine! (Those Coyotes better stay alert. There are MULTIPLE guns--rifle, shotgun and a pistol--all loaded and in arms reach of the back door just waiting for them. Yep--a Coyote got the cat.

Oh well...I am trying to get Laundry done and will be ironing uniforms for work later. Hope you have a great day and get some rest.
Take care!

Do your parents go to the Nazarene church???
Give that sweet Hannah a hug and I hope to see you both again soon.
My Dad is such a tender hearted man--and at almost 81
year old, things seem to bother him so much. That cat
was his buddy, followed him around like a dog would.
Oh well, Dad is determined to seek justice for his cat. The coyotes have been around here for years, so we are lucky he made it as long as he did. He was really an inside cat, just would not use a litter box and always wanted outside to do his business. My brother went out in the field on his four wheeler and found the remaining bits of fur...When Dad knew where it was at, he went out in the field and picked up every little shred of fur he could find. He has it in a bag in the garage and plans to bury it. It breaks my heart to see him so upset, but there is not anything we can do to make it better. I am just glad I am not one of those Coyotes. Dad has a loaded rifle, shotgun and pistol--all just waiting on a Coyote to get stupid and walk through his path!
I know it is instinct for animals such as Coyotes and in the case of your duck, a wolf--to kill to survive but it sure does not make it any easier. There are a lot of Coyotes around and Animal Control will bring you traps--but rarely will the Coyote go into the trap and even if it does, Animal Control will not pick them up. You have to get them out of the traps...and do whatever you are going to do. Basically it means you have to trap them and shoot them while they are in the traps and then dispose of them. They are vicious animals and you can not take them out of a trap alive--they will attack humans too. Although the final goal is to kill the Coyotes, it seems more humane to shoot them on the run than it does to cage them and shoot them in a cage. Thank goodness my Dad or Brother will do the shooting. I know it needs to be done, but I just can't do it myself.

Yes, Mom and Dad do still go to the Nazarene church.
There is one very close to our home and they go to that one most of the time. Sometimes they will visit one of the others in the area.
Hannah has gone home--we have her almost every weekend, but she does have to go home on Sundays to get ready for school on Monday's. Hard for me to
belive she is in SCHOOL! She is in first grade and
seems to be doing well. Maybe I can bring her with me to another event soon.

I HOPE THERE WILL BE ANOTHER EVENT OF SOME SORT SOON. WE NEED TO DO DINNER IN B'HAM AGAIN. I LOVE TO GO UP TO THE SUMMIT. I PREFER THE GALLERIA MYSELF. I LIKE INSIDE WINDOW SHOPPING BETTER. HAVEN'T BEEN SINCE WE TOOK CHRISTIAN UP FOR HIS B'DAY IN NOVEMBER. WE HAVE A NICE NEW OUTDOORS MALL CALLED MIDTOWN VILLAGE, BUT I'VE NEVER EVEN BEEN AROUND THE WHOLE THING. I JUST HATE HAVING TO WALK OUTSIDE TO ALL THOSE STORES AND SUCH. STILL LOTS OF EMPTY SPACES TOO, SO IT'S A REAL WALK TO LOOK AT EVERYTHING AND NOT A LOT OF MUCH OF ANYTHING I CARE TO SEE. OH WELL.....LOTS OF STORES HAVE MOVED OUT OF THE MALL, SO I DON'T EVEN BOTHER TO DRIVE OVER TO MIDTOWN TO THEM.
HOPE TO SEE EVERYONE AGAIN SOON.
