This is an update on Lollie the Yorkie, I posted about this morning

Thank you to all of you who have prayed for my Daughters dog LOLLIE .  My daughter talked with the vet today and they are going to do surgery on her liver tomorrow at 10:00 a.m.   We are going to be there at 8:00 so we can see her before surgery.  The outlook for her is good, considering she is just a puppy.  Will not be able to see her after surgery.   The first time we will be able to see her after surgery will be Sat morning.  She is expected to be there 3-5 more days.  It is a 2 hour + drive, so that make it harder.   She is in a very good place and there are vet's there 24 hours a day and she is receiving one on one care.  She is still doing good and has not had any more episodes.

Can't wait till she is well and chewing on something.  Please remember us tomorrow.  Prayers work and are the most powerful medicine there is.

A friend of mine sent an email today about a dog and cats died of liver failure due to the chemicals from a swiffer wetmop(think thats the correct name). The animals walked over the "clean" floor and then by licking paws they consumed the chemicals. I have not researched this personally, but I have heard this previously too.

Oh my goodness.  That is so sad.  Unfortunaley Dogs & cats will lick anything.  Lollie does that, will tell my daughter.

Thanks for thinging about Lollie, will have an update about her shortley.

Hi I have been doing some research on this.  According to snopes this is false....this is the link if you want to check it out.

http://www.snopes.com/critters/crusader/swiffer.asp   Still doesn't look like it could be good for a dog to lick the floor while it is still wet after using any cleaning product.

Thanks for posting this link.  I agree with you...dogs tend to lick most anything...mine does, so any chemical is not good for them.

Pets are so dear to our hearts and they become just like a child to us.  Praying for Lollie and her owners.  I know this has to be rough on them.
