AL WLS suport groups near Opelika?

Hi Y'all, I'm looking for a WLS support group near Opelika/Auburn, AL.   Please let me know if there are any out there!  I had surgery 11/14/08 and would really like to attend some meetings, too!   THANKS and brrrrrr!!  It's cold out there tonight!!

I do know that there are several members on the board from that area so maybe they will stop by soon and see your post and be able to help guide you in the right direction.

I have family in the "Valley" area and have been thinking of a weekend trip down that way soon. It has been a while since I have been there and I always enjoy my time in that part of the State.

There used to be a local support group for Auburn & Opelika but we do not meet anymore.  We do try to get together from time to time.  Some are gong to meet at Starbucks this afternoon.  If you would like to come, let me know and I'll give you some more info.

Dixie and Carmen, I'm so sorry I did not see the Starbucks meeting until just now, probably already going on.  Keep me posted on any others.  I've been cleaning the house today and didn't get online until just now. 

Phyllis, I am closer to PC, but in Lee County.   That's neat to know y'all are close by and all of us have had different doctor's, too.

Carolyn, my doctor is in B'ham and the area up North is so pretty!  I bet we might be a little warmer (by a few degrees!) down here, though!
