Miss Mary!! Help!! Major problem here

would you please check your recipe you posted for inside/outside cake.Mine is a total flop,as in FLOP..too gooie,took 1:50 min to bake still gooie..seems to be too much liquid.I put just what the recipe called for but on my..I did something wrong..also what is granola oil??maybe thats it I used canola oil..HELP!!Juju

Oh no!!!!  I have one in the oven as we type.  Jimmy has his mouth all set for a piece of cake.  I don't know what I will do to satisfy him if it does not work....

did you seem to have a lot of liquid??I so hope yours turns out..Im waiting for responce..Juju

Mine turned out pretty good.  It is very moist but not runny.    I did cook it longer than the 40 minutes but not sure how much longer.  Jimmy really likes it.  I bet Jerry was upset yours did not turn out or did you not tell him he had a cake coming.

mine is not runny,its gooey.i guess that is the way it is.the outside is delicious,the cake icing & pecans are delicious.the inside is just not of a cake its mushy,,is yours that also..it dont taste bad at all just mushy when i was expecting a pound cake type cake.

I guess that is the way mine is also.  It is not at all like pound cake.  It kind of reminds me of my fresh apple cake in texture.  That cake is very moist also.  That is my favorite cake as far as taste.  Before surgery I did not care anything at all about sweets.  Now I love them and sugar does not bother me at all.  I sure do wi**** did bother me.

Me thinks the 3/4 cup of canola oil is the problem That sounds like allot of oil for a cake  I think it should be 1/4 but I dun't know ??????? Miss Mary !!!!!!!!!!!!

I fell asleep about 6 and have slept all night. Well it is after midnight. I am looking at my recipe. Cake mix, 3/4 cup water and 3/4 cup oil and 4 eggs, nuts and frosting.  Mine turned out perfect................last time anyway. I'll make another one today and see how it does.

Hi Miss Mary.  I think mine actually turned out like it was supposed to.  It was just not what I expected it to be like.  My crew loves it.  If it is not right they don't know it!!!!  Do you cook your longer?

I tested mine after 40 minutes and cooked it about 10 minutes longer. But all ovens vary. Like I say I'm going to do another one this afternoon and I'll let you know how it turns out. Love, Miss Mary
