Weight Gain on Lyrica

I have been taking Lyrica becaue of my Fibro and went from 135 to 178. I am back down to 145. I just can't get rid of that last ten pounds. 10 Pounds makes a lot of difference in clothes. Anyway I was wondering if anyone else has taken it and gained weight. It really helps or I would just quit taking it.

Tina,  I am right there with you.  I am taking myself off now because of gaining 18 pounds.  Everyone tells me I look better than I have in a long time and I am still in my 32-34 pants, but I CAN NOT STAND THE THOUGHT of gaining.  I am on 4 meds for nerve damage with Lyrica being the newest.  I took myself off once before and my Dr. talked me in to taking it again.  I just can't because of gaining.  How did you keep taking it and lose?  Any help with it would be appreciated.  THANKS!

Lyrica has the side effects of that My mom who is 73 told her Dr sheis going to quit because of weight gian as well but it is for nerve damamge as she is a diabetic ,,,He is looking into something else but that is one of the side effects of that drug...Most do gain on it sadly..

Yep, same here!  I have gained some and I'm blaming it on the Lyrica!  It does help, but the thought of gaining weight just depresses me more and more.

Me too!  Not sure if i can entirely blame it on the Lyrica but i definately think its made a difference in my eating and gaining.  Keep us updated if you find something that works better, i'm not really sure its helping that much with the fibro pain anyway.

I take it and have gained a good bit of weight back.  I only lost half my weight to begin with and every pound was a struggle. 

I went off of Lyrica at one point, thinking it wasn't helping and then all my bones felt like they were locking up so I went back on it.  My doctor has me up to 150 mg.  I don't know what to do about it either.

If I had meds for pain, I think that would help more than all the meds I take, but I don't, so I just do the best I can do with what I have.
