Update on my son, Sean

Thank you to everyone for the thoughts and prayers. Sean did great through the surgery. Doctor told me that he was really glad that he went ahead and took out his tonsils and adenoids. He said they were unusually large for a 4 year old. No wonder the poor kid snore like he did. We got home just before lunch yesterday and of course he went right back to sleep when we got home. He did good after waking up with his liquids and ro-gurt (thats Scooby Doo yogurt, if you didn't know... lol), and even ate some spaghetti o's for dinner last night. It's a real booger to get him to take his pain medicine though. It's hydrocodone and I don't know what it taste like, but from the look of Sean's squinched up face, it can't be good. I had my Dad take it back to Walgreen's this morning to get it flavored for him, so hopefully that will help with getting it down. He's hanging in there and hopefully this is the worst of it all and tomorrow will be so much better. He has done so much better than I had expected and talking up a storm like nothing is wrong... lol. I hope to make it to the fireworks stand on my home from work and surprise him with them. Hopefully, it will make him smile and have something to enjoy instead of being all cooped up in the house laying down all the time.

Thanks again for your thoughts and prayers. Happy New Year to everyone!

I am so happy that he has done so well.  Have fun with those fireworks tonight.  I know Sean will love them.
