Bad Dr.'s appointment

Not because of what I was told....I never got to see the Dr.  I made an appointment for my yearly checkup.  I made up my mind to be better with my check up's and thought while I was off work during Christmas would be a good time to see the Dr.  We got there at 3:30 and I left at 6:00.  There were still 2 other patients ahead of me.  Maybe if something was wrong I would have waited but it was just a checkup.  I didn't think she would be very interested in me at that late hour so I left.  The next time I make an appointment, it will be a morning appointment!!!

Sorry you waited around so long and still didn't get to see the doctor.  I try to get the first appt of the day so I can hopefully get in before they get so far behind.  Better luck next time.

I hate you had to sit that long.  We have a Dr. here in Luverne and if you go see him, it takes 4 hours or longer EVERY time you go.  I don't know what makes some appts. go so long.  I hear ya on the A.M. appts.  Love ya! 

Girl!!!  Don't you do that to me!!!    I thought you got some bad news on your blood work or somethin'!!!  I'm sorry you had to wait so long, but I'm so, so  glad you are OKAY!!! 

Back to !  I only work a hald day today and have lots to do!

I thought it was just me and the new meds.  Boss just came in I will talk to you later.

While I know that there things that come up, I personally feel that is un professional for a Dr to always be behind.  I think it is bad scheduling on their part or someone on their staff.  There is no reason to always be late. 3 Hours is way too long.  I don't blame you for leaving.  Did they say anything to you while you were waiting?  Should have apologized several times.  

Most Dr's charge if you fail to show for an appointment, what if they started having to pay us for being so late.  

I would have to absolutely love a Dr to wait that long on them.  I never have to wait over 15-20 minutes for my PCP.  Used to use a group of Dr's that were always late like that so I changed.  Really lucked up on the one I use now.  He is an

Lindy, they did apologize for the delay but that did not make the wait any shorter.  If there had been an emergency or something that would have been a different story.  But like you said, I think they just over booked.  Oh well, it was just a check up.  Nothing wrong.  It is just that we live a hour and half away from Mobile and when we go we usually have a list.  We had one yesterday.  Our son is getting married Jan. 10 and I had things I needed to get for the wedding.  If I had stayed to see the Dr. I would not have finished what I needed to do.  I will make another appointment when my life slows down!!

Hello Neighbor, I see you are from Chatom...I live in Butler.  Who is your doctor?  i am still waiting for the insurance company to approve the Realize band procedure and my doctor is with the surgical group for the Infirmary Hosp. in Mobile.  so far, I have had no problems with the staff there.
Do you attend any support groups, and if so, when and where?  I would like to get involved with a support group, waiting to hear if Meridian, Ms is going to restart thier bariatric support group. 
I enjoy going down to Mobile, the shopping is great.  So, I plan on shopping when I have appts.  I love arts and crafts and there are a couple great craft shops there.
