Controling Offensive material on this Board

It is unfortunate that some people have to get attention by behaving badly.  This board was created to provide support and help to those who have had WLS.  It was not created for harrassment of individuals.  Those individuals that stress tolerance and then degrade others are infringing on the rights of others.  People who consistently come to other boards and harrass the board members should be banned from the use of the board.  I expect OH to look into these allegations and to do something productive about the lack of respect.

 

Until OH can and will take a stance about what had been going on for several months, we have no recourse other than to block and report these violations of the OH intent.  It is  a matter that harrassment should not be allowed in this manner.

 Hi there!  I'm not an Alabaman, but I did wander over because I keep reading about Bama board this and Bama board that.

I think the original post here is EXTREMELY well written and thought out.  (Hard to do though, sometimes.)  

And I love the line, "When someone tries to get your goat, the best poicy is to move your goat."

I liked the goat line too!  It reminded me of one of my music teachers.  We were in rehearsal for a very difficult 20th century piece - one of those where the music makes little sense!!!  After one particularly disastrous section, he looked at me and asked, "Do you feel this is over your head?"  I nodded and said, "yes, it is."  He gazed at me for a moment and replied, "Then raise your head".

I have tried to raise my head ever since!
