Action Taken on Theft

I called and reported the missing items to the police.  Filed a report.  My dad took out a criminal trespass on the housekeeper.  Dad went by and told her that she was off of the gasoline credit as of today.  He also told her that if she came to the house for any reason the police would be called.  I checked the pawn shops and saw a lot of pretty things, but none of them mine.  I was told exactly what pawn shops to go to that took jewelry and was told to do it today and to keep checking through the first of the year.  My pieces are unique enough they are not going to be hard to spot among the pieces that are there.  I do have photographs with me wearing some of them, so we are in luck

The policeman suggested that if you have jewelry that you wish to recover at some time in the future, have your initials engraved in the bands or on them somewhere.  The engraving is not that much of an added expense to a piece of jewelry.  With it marked, it can be readily identified and returned to you ...otherwise, you are pretty much out of luck.  It is also helpful to have pictures of the pieces on you....where you can be clearly identified.  I think this is very important these days.

Please take this seriously and do something to protect your jewelry that you treasure.  Please don't have to learn like I have had to learn.

Karla,  I am so sorry that this has happened to you.  SHE WILL REPAY!  At some point in her life, she will pay.  I pray that she confesses to you and brings them back.  God is able to make her do this.  I hate that you feel God has let you down and I can understand how you could feel this way.  Please know that from my own experiences, He hasn't.  He is still there with you.  Bad things happen to good people but it makes the good people stronger!!  You are good  people and YOU WILL be stronger!!

Great advice!!  Looks like Allison and Lucy have some engraving to have done!!  Pictures to be made too.

Have a great evening my friend!

Karla...I am right there with Randall praying that this thief will have so much guilt she will confess to you and you will locate your stolen items.  I am glad that she is not coming back.  There is no telling how much this person has taken from others.  This is so senseless.  I know that you are the type person that if she had come to you needing anything, you would have done your best to help.  I cannot handle theives, liars and cheaters.  Those are three things that you do not ever have to do.
