Vickie G! It's your LAST weekend!!!
I just love them crockpots! You can cook anything in them! I'm doing the famous crockpot chicken and dressing for Thanksgiving. I just found a recipe for hot chocolate in the crockpot too! I like cooking lots on the weekends and then making myself little dinners to keep in the freezer or fridge. In the long run, it saves time.
Morning John!
I love your avatar! Please post your crock pot chicken and dressing recipe! I love crock pot recipes too; don't know what I would do without my crock pots!
Thanks for thinking of Vickie! I just LOVE reading her posts! Vickie, I can't wait to see Carmen report that you are on THE BENCH with us! Get ready for the ride, darlin! We will be here for you!!
Have a good weekend John!

Becky: Here is the recipe I use. I think it originally came from Elle. It is SOOOO good and moist!
I usually use boneless, skinless breasts instead of a hen and cook on low for 6 - 8 hours. Also use the lo fat chicken soups. Add more broth as needed.
CROCK POT CHICKEN & DRESSING | |
1 hen, stewed, deboned & cubed 2 cans cream of chicken soup (1 can diluted with 1 c. chicken broth) 1 stick butter, melted 1 tbsp. sage 2 eggs, boiled & chopped 2 1/2 c. crumbled corn bread 1 c. white bread or biscuits, crumbled 1 onion, chopped Mix all ingredients, except chicken and 1 can undiluted chicken soup. Put 1/2 can of the undiluted chicken soup in the bottom of the crock pot. Layer dressing and chicken ending with chicken. Add other 1/2 can of undiluted chicken soup. Cook on low 3 to 4 hours. |
