Thanks for all the advice.  I will take him to the vet next week and get a blood work up done.  I am just wondering how expensive it will be though.

I would imagine you are looking at close to 200 for a complete work up. I could be wrong but it shouildnt be to far off of that if  I remember my prices right

Hi elle

I have 2 cats that are 7 years old and have just gone through a change in the way they act. One wants to be out all the time and the other one wants to stay inside and they where just the opposite. one used to not want to be petted and now she wants me to pet her the other one wanted to be petted now she doesn't. As for the weight lose older cat will lose weight i don't know whey but they do,i had a cat that lived to be 20 and he lost weight until he looked like a walking stick but it never hurt him.His food intake changed and the type of food he could eat.You need a good food for Senior cats not just a cat food for all stages of life. One of my cats throws up and have to go to Pet-Smart and get food for sensitive stomachs. As for the no plastic bowls it is because of the chemicals they give off just like plastic water bottles.I use aluminum bowls for my cats water and food.Hope you can find out if anything is wrong with him and what to do for him.
