Remember the Parish family in prayer

Please keep B.J. Parish and his fiance in your prayers. B.J was an only child and is stationed at Fort Sill Oklahoma. They were supposed to be married this Saturday afternoon in Oklahoma but a tragedy has brought them back to Blakely. His parents, Billy and Pat Parish and their 3 dogs were on their way to the wedding Friday when they were in an accident in Bowie, Texas.

For reasons that cannot be explained yet, Billy ran off an overpass and they landed 40 feet below with their SUV upside down. Pat was thrown through the windshield and killed instantly. Billy also died on impact and had to be extracted with the Jaws of Life. One of the dogs was also killed. What was to be the happiest day of their lives will now be one of sadness. Billy and Pat were buried side by side today. They had both recently retired. They were 61 and 56 years old.

I still can not believe this has happened to this family. I have had several long talks with Pat and Billy over the past few months (she was a lurker on this very board but never joined). She and Billy had both been approved to have WLS but were waiting for the wedding to be over to tell B.J. their plans.
