I know where that is! I go through a small part of West Point when I go to visit my relatives in VALLEY, AL!

I really like that area!

I'll have to keep that in mind. My relatives have lived their entire lives in the Valley. My Aunt and Uncle both retired from West Point Pepperrell...My cousin works for an Insurance agency in West Point--
We spent lots of summers there. They have a cabin on the lake at Beulah and I love it there.

You are very lucky! I was telling Dale on the way home that I would love to live closer. Even just being in Opelika would be close enough for me! (That way I would be closer to Nicole, Dixie and Lindy too!) I think I would spend many weekends there as well!

Gail,

I know you had a good time! Callaway Gardens is fun. I love their Butterfly house---and the last time I went, we were there for the Christmas lights....several years ago.
They drove us through in little train/cart things, but it was SO COLD we about froze.

Enjoy your day!

Yesterday was my first visit to Calloway Gardens. I thoroughly had a great time! I never knew we had such a great place within an hour and 1/2 drive. Ok, let me rephrase....I knew but never wanted to make the drive.  I will not be so lazy here on out. The drive is totally worth it!!!

We played at the beach area but they had so much going on there. I got a temporary tatoo!  Music, arts and crafts, food like mad...I had an italian sausage yesterday and about died and went to heaven!  Our main reason  for going was the hot air ballon festival but never got to see them because there was alot of wind. Maybe next year.  There was a dog show going on! Wonderful dogs catching frisbees and doing tricks! We had an absolute good time but not enough sunblock in the world would have knocked out that bright sun yesterday!!!!! Boy Dale and I are both a bit burned on our necks. Dakota is good!

I am looking forward to seeing the Christmas lights later this year.
