Thanks everybody and about my Birthday
Thanks Randall for the Birthday thread. I haven't been online all day--been trying to spend a little time with my neglected hubby! He's gone out by the pool with his favorite cigar right now, so I thought I'd hop on for a sec and see what's going on!
Well I turned 51 at the Huntsville Hospital ER. My DD's arm got worse throughout the evening so we called the doctor back as he had instructed. He sent us to the ER to get an ultrasound. There is a blood clot in the basilic vein, a bit bigger than what they expected but it is superficial. She has to go to the vascular surgeon this week for a followup. I just could not go to bed last night and not know what was wrong with her arm. We got down there about 8:30 and got home about 1:30 a.m. after getting her prescriptions filled.
Anyway, boy does a trip to the HH ER on Saturday night make you thankful for what you have. The place was packed with people who you just know are down on their luck.
Now, back to my birthday, Bill gave me a gorgeous ring and took me to lunch at Bridge Street. Tara spent a good bit of the day with her dad and his girlfriend. I think she needed a change of scenery and she didn't feel like going out to a restaurant since she's on liquids. Also that sweet Julie called me from her hospital bed to wish me a happy birthday. Please remember her in your prayers.
Love you all!
Edited to add: Tara just got home and gave me the prettiest decorative metal measuring spoons with hearts and flowers on them and a bright pink and green polka-dotted mouse pad with my initial on it. She also gave me a hilarious Napoleon Dynamite card. That is one of my favorite movies.
