Good Morning, Everyone! WOW, I didn't even know this board existed! This is great! My name is Becca and I currently live on Scott, AFB. Well, until this summer when we PCS! Three years in one place is long enough!! As of today, I am 4 mos. out from surgery and down 61.5 lbs. I am considered a "lightweight", having 'only' 80-100lbs to lose. I'm almost there! We tried to find out why they denied me. Never did get a straight answer, but they had issue with the fact that I had 5 follow up appts. after surgery. I guess they were afraid I would have problems with the surgery. We were told to try again after I am a year out from surgery. Still it was pretty disappointing especially after giving up our 2nd vehicle and we still have to pay $10000 for it.

I don't understand why you shouldn't get cleared to come over to Europe! I had WLS in April 04 and we moved to Germany in July of the same year. My medical clearances took a bit longer than the rest of the family's but I was cleared still the same. Please update us and let us know what happens with this! Kay

Hi All, My husband has gotten orders to Robins AFB. I was hoping that I could get some info about the area. Are there any OH members who can give me some info on surgeons in the area for follow up care? I noticed on the Website for Robins, that they only have a medical clinic and I did not see Surgery as one of the specialties. I am also hoping to get some info about housing and what not, we are thinking of buying when we get there, but would like some info if possible. Thanks for all your help guys.... Beth
