Las Vegas!!!

My son called tonight, he says he will be stationed in Las Vegas, Nevada. Has anyone been stationed there and how well did you like it? Thank you, Tonya

Will he be stationed at Nellis AFB? I would say this, I lived in AZ close to Luke AFB, the temperatures are almost identical..Nellis is a nice base. I have been there TDY (Temp Duty) once from Luke AFB...as long as he can keep cool he should be ok...I also Live in Barstow Ca for 18 years which is about 3 hours east of Vegas...use to visit Vegas quite a bit.

Hey Tonya Nellis AFB is very nice, has the BEST and Largest BX, it only year old maybe a little longer. My husband and I just PCS from Nellis to Vandenberg AFB in California, I would much rather be back in Vegas, I love it there, my husband is Security Forces and it was really nice. People are very helpful and friendly. Don\\\'t know about housing we lived off base, good luck to you, if you have any questions don\\\'t hesitate to ask. Teresa
